Can You Paint uPVC Cladding, Soffits & Fascias? (2026 Guide)

Roofline work is access-led. Most jobs are completed from a mobile tower or cherry picker, with surrounding render, brick and glazing fully masked. Large or awkward properties may need scaffolding for a day.

Prep: every board is degreased with panel-wipe, lightly abraded and primed with a uPVC adhesion promoter — the same process as ground-level frames.

Application: two to three coats of 2K polyurethane in your chosen colour and sheen. Sprayed, not brushed — so no lap marks, drips or visible joins.

Time on site: a typical 3-bed semi roofline is 1–2 days. A larger detached property with cladding panels is 2–3 days.

Can you spray cladding without removing the gutters? Yes. We mask gutters and downpipes, or spray them in the same colour so the whole roofline ties together.

What about wooden cladding? Yes — timber needs a different primer system, but the same 2K top-coat applies. Tell us at quote stage.

Can you spray cement-board cladding (HardiePlank, etc.)? Yes, with the appropriate alkali-resistant primer.

Will it stop the cladding going yellow again? Yes. UV degradation happens to bare uPVC, not to the new 2K top-coat — that's pigmented through and UV-stable.
